The Lascaux Caves. Breathtaking artwork that allows one to dive into their imagination, and relive histories long past. These caves are an important part of history as they depict paintings which are dated back to the Upper Paleolithic (Or Late Stone Age) Era. After a discovery made by a teenager, the cave was openly accessible to the public until the year 1963. The reason was that, continued human intervention opened the paintings up to degradation and exposure to the elements. The now restricted caves, are only accessible to scientists and experts in preservation. Fret not though, a Lascaux II was erected to replicate the original, generating a space where one can marvel in similar ways to the originals.
